What New Technology Will 2013 Bring?

Written by

Ten years ago, if someone had shown us the prototype of an iPhone or the Samsung Galaxy, we would have been blown away. At that time, it was hard to imagine what cell phones would eventually become. But just as we begin to think everything that could possibly be invented has, someone creates a new gadget that surprises us all.

As 2013 begins, many of us are trying to imagine what the year will bring. Will smartphones become thinner? Smaller? Larger? Invisible altogether?

How about bendable?

Among the electronic protoypes at the 2012 gadget shows was a series of smartphones that had a design like nothing we've seen at this point. There's more to these phones than a unique, wavy shape. These phones can be rolled up and stuffed into a pocket or a cup holder in your car.

Scientists are also working with contact lenses that will allow wearers to read text messages. Or view a map that will take you where you need to go. Or even change colors to match the blouse you're wearing. All of this is possible...and more.

If one thing is certain, it is that technology will continue to change. New innovations are being developed every single day throughout the world and those developments will be passed onto us. As long as these innovations continue to make us more productive...without distracting us from seeing the road in front of us as we're driving...we'll be more than happy to buy into them.
